Typhoons Studios and Creative Director Alex Hutchinson Acquired by Google Stadia
12 months ago 0During Stadia's aqcuisition of Typhoon Studios, Alex Hutchinson and the development team will be moving across to Google Stadia.
Alex had been a Creative Director for over 10 years previously working at EA, Ubisoft and then Typhoon Studios. Some of the games he worked on are Journey To The Savage Planet, Far Cry 4, Assassin's Creed 3, Spore and The Sims 2 among others. With this we can expect some amazing gaming coming out from Stadia through Alex.
Typhoon Studio's most recent game is Journey To The Savage Planet which has received amazing reviews but unfortunately, as of yet, won't be coming to Stadia.
Typhoon Studios was bought out by Google in December making Typhoos Studios a part of the Montreal Studio of Stadia Games and Entertainment - which currently has multiple projects on the go but they're unable to talk about them at the moment. Due to Alex's previous experience we can expect some amazing story driven games and I for one can't wait to see what happens next. You can check out Alex's twitter for any updates
Update: Please be aware that Alex Hutchinson is the Creative Director for Typhoon Studios - which was aqcuired by Google Stadia as part of the Montreal Studio of Stadia Games and Entertainment. In this article we originally and erroneously concluded that Alex Hutchinson became the Creative Director for Stadia, this is because of his Twitter bio and LinkedIn profile stating it so hence the mix up. We've made the necessary alterations to the article to avoid future confusion.
